How Can I Join?

Attend a BFSA general body meeting or email the EBoard at bfsa@utah.edu. At the general body meeting you can meet other members and experience what the Black Faculty & Staff Association has to offer in terms of cultural events, support of our faculty, staff and students, and professional development. After the meeting, you can become a member of BFSA by paying your membership dues for the year to the treasurer.

 

Who Can Join?

Membership in the Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA) is open to all faculty members and staff employed at The University of Utah. Information for the categories of membership can be found in our organization's bylaws under Article V.

Why Should I Join?

Membership in the Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA) is an opportunity to be a part of an organization that has an impact on the University of Utah campus. Offering professional development opportunities, engagement, advocacy resources, and great swag - joining BFSA is a way to build a sense of community and belonging.

What do my dues go towards?

Membership dues go towards organizing the BFSA Summit, socials, swag, and organizational costs.

For the academic year beginning in August, the annual dues for all members shall be due in August and payable BFSA and given to the Treasurer August – July of each year. Dues shall be determined by Salary.
